Everybody had made & talked about this bread. This week-end there was only Mathieu & I. Maxime was in Vancouver. So I wanted to baked a good bread for his return. I decided to make the No-Knead bread from the NY Times because it's the fastest & easiest bread that I have ever baked. It's still as good as the first time I made it.

I love no-knead bread, I make it all the time. I made it for a dinner party a few weeks ago and threw in a few handfuls of walnuts. My friends were so impressed, they couldn't believe I made it myself!
That is a beautiful welcome-home treat, Helene-- thanks so much for sharing :)
I must be the only one on the planet that hasnt attempted this yet. Soon!Looks great.
Helene,
I definitely have to try this bread. I looked at your picture and I feel that the bread has this really tender crumb. I am sure it was very wholesome and enjoyable!
Chere Helene,
Ton pain est tres beau! I am still astounded by how longer fermentation times at cooler temperatures brings such a change in the finished loaf.
By the way, I am also Canadian - I spent nearly all of my childhood in Ontario and have only recently moved to Vermont for graduate studies. Thanks for dropping by my blog today.
p.s. Et felicitations pour tes awards!
It's gorgeous, it's airy and I like that it's easy...thanks for sharing.
the bread looks lovely - i tried this too - and didnt get that beautiful crumb you have! :-) delicious!
Your bread looks great! I've not made that bread yet, because I don't have a Dutch oven to bake it in...
Cheers,
Rosa
Ton pain est trop alléchant!!
the thought of a bread that's easy to make and still super easy makes me sigh with delight, and yours looks marvelous. :)
I am printing this recipe now, I want to try this tomorrow. Will let you know if "my critics" love it!
Your bread looks great! I love warm homemade bread with cold butter more than anything!
It's fun just how easy and good that bread comes out. It's the only time I've ever had a bread sing to me.
The photo of the bread slices have me craving a loaf right now. I really need to start making bread!
I got to try this recipe. The pictures are so delish.
J'ai enocre jamais essayé ce fameux pain...la mie a l'air vraiment belle et alvéolé:)
Avec du beurrre c'est le paradis...
beautiful photos and site. The bread looks wonderful! I'm glad I found your blog Helene.
isn't it fun to make bread and no need to knead!
Helene that bread looks amazing, I must try it.
I make this bread all the time now, since discovering the recipe a few months ago. It's so amazingly good, and it gives my mixer a rest, too! I just love it!
Funny how I was struggling with a bad brownie craving and I read your previous post, and it made it worse, but now that I saw this post, I started smelling freshly baked bread on the counter top. Oh you surely are one talented lady!
You know I stay away from baking breads because of the whole kneading part. Do you really not knead it? Is it really that simple? Hmmm. Well, your pictures are fabulous, love the side of butter there.
Did you get my email for the chicken curry salad ok?
isn't this bread fantastic? I just started playing around with different combos of flavors and the results only get better and better!
Congrats on your award and thanks for visiting even when I couldn't stop by at your place. Thank you.
La recette de ce pain sans pétrissage est une de mes recettes préférées. Presque pas de travail pour un pain magnifique! :)
I haven't made a chicken pot pie yet this year, but yours is making me think I should do so soon.
That bread looks nice and light and fluffy. I am going to have to try making this no knead bread.
Ur no knead bread is tempting me.It is so fluffy and great.Love the airy texture, love to try my hand on it.
No knead sounds about my level. Either my dough is really hard or my upper body strength is lacking, but my recent kneading attempt left me regretting the recipe.
Congratulations on the awards.
I've been so lazy about bread this fall - haven't made bread from scratch in a couple of months - need to get back to baking!
It has been soooo long since I've made a chicken pot pie. This looks yum!
Congrats on the awards. Oh that no knead bread is really pulling me in.
Thanks, Helene. This is next on my list of recipes to try.
This bread is literally on top of the stack of things to try - soon! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I really like yours! Congratulations on your awards.
