Clean Eating - Manger Santé

The Clean Eating Magazine is out. Lot's of good tips, recipes and pictures. On the cover there is a really tasty salad. I tried it this week and really like it. So I decided to share the recipe with you. Weather is nice here in Comox and I can do my walking everyday. It's different from being in Quebec where it's hard to go out at this time of the year since the roads are often covered by ice. Makes the walking difficult. So back to the good resolutions of eating well and doing exercises.

Recipe:
Quinoa Black Bean Salad

Recette:
Salade de quinoa et haricots noirs

Looks good! I need to start eating quinoa again. I never know what to do with it though.

That salad looks good! I recently found quinoa and a black bean salad was one of the first things that I tried.

This is a wonderful combination! I actually was able to buy some black beans the other day -- they're difficult to find in France -- and I like this idea of what to do with them.

Thanks for your comments.

I did not know that black beans were hard to find in France.

That looks wonderful, Helene: I need some "clean living" myself as I am currently on a diet :)

Your quinoa dish looks fantastic. We really like quinoa here - my six year old loves it. We generally eat it with some pine nuts and parm. cheese stirred it. I enjoyed your pictures of Quebec City very much. We visited there in the summer when my daughter was a baby. It looks so charming in the winter.

This looks fantastic. I love quinoa...have some but haven't used it in some time. Do we know its shelf-life? hmmm....

I would think that quinoa keeps a very long time. I usually keep it for more than a year.

Manggy: It's not always easy to go back to a diet. But eating clean and healthy really helps.

Tara: never tried it with parm and pine nuts. Must be delicious. Quebec City is one of the best looking city in Canada.
