It's a long week-end in Canada and the weather is fantastic. I am reading book two of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Addicting!
For Dinner Sunday we had lasagna. Made with fresh Olivieri Lasagna sheets, that are made with natural pasta ingredients. This is a lifesaver. You all know how long it takes to prepare lasagna. But with Olivieri fresh pasta you can actually enjoy making lasagna for your family in no time. I made the Old Fashioned Lasagna recipe from their website. It's quick, simple and really good. After tasting these fresh pasta will I buy Olivieri fresh lasagna sheets again? Yes, I will. It's so convenient and delicious.

15 ml Olive Oil
500 ml diced onion, carrot, celery
500 g lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced

600 ml marinara sauce
salt and pepper to taste

In a large pan heat oil and add the vegetables. Cook for 3-4 minutes on med-high heat.
Add beef and cook 5-6 minutes. Add the tomatoes and marinara sauce. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
To assemble lasagna:
Grease a 9x13 in pan. Layer sauce, lasagna sheets, ricotta cheese. Repeat this layering sequence and finish with sauce. Top with mozzarella cheese.
Place a paper foil sprayed with Pam on top of lasagna. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake another 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
Let stand the lasagne 5 minutes before serving.
