When I met my husband, during my short military career, I wanted to impress him with my food. One of his instructors was going on vacation and he asked him to take care of his house and his cat. He accepted and we moved in the house for one month. During the month I cooked and baked everyday. Two months later we were married. The saying: 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach' worked for me. This year will be our 25th Valentine's Day together.
Over the years we were blessed to have three children and they became part of the Celebrations. Valentine's Day is to demonstrate your love to the people that are close to your heart. Why not set a nice table for your family and decorate with red candles, red balloons and red hearts. Then appreciate that special moment together.
When planning your menu for Valentine's Day a nice pasta, with a salad and wine is quick to make and delicious. You should look for these cute Hearts Cheese Ravioli at your grocery store. They make a stunning effect on the plate. I made them with a brown butter sauce and they were really tasty.
