When my family gets
together they ask me to bring dessert. Since baking is my passion I like to
bake new recipes that they will enjoy. This Praline Caramel Mousse Cake looks stunning and, is the perfect cake
to make on a special occasion. It is so good that I caught my husband licking
his plate.
If you want to succeed at
baking you will need to invest in good equipment. Making the perfect whipped
cream can be time consuming. If you ever whipped your cream by hand you know
what I am talking about. To speed things up in the kitchen I used the KenwoodChef Kitchen Machine. Believe it or not, I made the perfect whipped
cream in less than five minutes. The Kenwood’s Chef whisk has a tiered balloon
design and is very sturdy. I will never go back whipping cream by hand.
For this recipe you need to whip
your cream until stiff peaks form. When frosting your cake it will keep its
shape.
When making genoise
it is important to gently fold your flour into the mixture to maintain the
fluffy texture. I found the perfect tool for this task. I used Kenwood’s new folding
with my Chef Kitchen Machine. My batter did not deflate and the result
was an airy genoise.
You can frost and decorate this
cake one day before serving to guests. They will enjoy the delicious caramel mousse
between layers of the cake. I could it eat by the spoonful. If it is your first
time making caramel make sure you watch it carefully because it can burn.
This Praline Caramel Mousse cake is
a show stopping, moist, layer cake. When
serving to guests drizzle some of the caramel sauce on top of each piece. Bon
Appétit!

After testing the Chef Kitchen Machine for couple months now I can say that I am so in love with this machine. You can mix, knead, whisk, chop, blend, slice with the Chef Kitchen Machine. It is versatile and you can buy additional attachments like a Pasta Roller, a Multi Food Grinder, a Spaghetti Metal Pasta Cutter, a Frozen Dessert Maker. I can't wait to make ice cream and sorbet!
