Sweet and Salty Bark & Chocolate Cookie Bark

chocolate bark

I love the holiday season and since I am a baker, it gives me a chance to bring delicious desserts at family gatherings. My brother is hosting on December 31st this year in Quebec. It will be special for him because his son will be 4 months old and he is the youngest in the family. It is always fun to celebrate with my parents, sisters and brother. We eat, drink wine, sing and dance. The next day we are very tired but it's all worth it.

Every year I offer to bring desserts. I like to do bite sized treats because we are stuffed after the main meal and we just want to snack on small pieces of sweets. During the night we will exchange gifts and when anyone is hungry they can just go to the dessert table and treat themselves to any dessert they like. These barks are quick to make. The recipes for barks are endless and I usually make these Rocky Ridge Barks, which are really good as well. This year I have decided to try two new recipes from Kraft Canada. There are a lot of great recipes for Christmas candies on the site, which are nice gifts to bring to people hosting you during the holidays.
